How do you choose which products to review?
We build a shortlist for each category based on specifications, price, brand reputation and real customer feedback on Amazon.co.uk. We prioritise products that offer the best combination of performance and value, and we update our rankings as new models are released.
How is your score out of 10 calculated?
Each product is judged on five criteria — performance, running costs, build quality and reliability, ease of use, and value for money — and these are combined using published weightings for each category (for example, running costs count for 25% of a hot tub score but 10% of an air fryer score). Owner feedback informs those judgements, but Amazon star ratings are shown separately and are not added into our score. The full weightings table is on our How We Review page.
How are products numbered on your category pages?
Strictly by our overall score, highest first. If two products share a score, the one with more owner feedback goes first. Each product also has a "best for" label showing which buyer it suits, so a product further down the list can still be the best choice for your needs.
Do you earn money from the links on your site?
Yes. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. If you buy through one of our links we may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. This funds our research — but it never affects our verdicts or rankings.
Are the prices on your site always up to date?
Prices and availability on Amazon change frequently. We show indicative prices to help you compare, but the live price on Amazon at the time of purchase is always the definitive one. We recommend checking the current price before you buy.
How often do you update your reviews?
We review our rankings regularly and refresh them whenever notable new products launch, prices shift significantly, or customer feedback changes our assessment. Each category page shows the year it was last updated.
Which categories do you cover?
We are continually expanding. You can see every category we currently review from the Reviews menu at the top of any page, or from the homepage.
